Dr. Margo is a university professor dedicated to theatre education, recognized for her numerous awards in the field. She is a passionate advocate for arts education, using her platform to champion the importance of arts programs in public schools throughout Texas.
Dr. Margo is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Texas Educational Theatre Association, where she previously served as Chair for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility. She is also a member of the Black Educators Theatre Caucus, the American Alliance for Theatre & Education, and Theatre for Young Audiences.
Dr. Margo is a proud product of public education, having attended schools within the Houston Independent School District from elementary through high school. Afterward, she dedicated fourteen years to teaching theatre at her alma mater.
